Description
An addition to a white marble headstone on a family grave. The headstone is in the style of an open book and is accompanied by white marble kerbs. The inlaid inscriptions are in upright capital block lettering borne on the pages of the book and on the chamfered outer faces of the kerbs.

Headstone: IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF/ EDWARD/ THE BELOVED YOUNGEST SON OF/ ARTHUR & SARAH ANN PALMER,/ WHOM GOD CALLED HOME/ MARCH 14. 1936,/ AGED 19 YEARS./ Also of THOMAS HENRY,/ THE BELOVED ELDEST SON OF/ ARTHUR & SARAH ANN PALMER,/ WHO WAS REPORTED WOUNDED AND MISSING IN THE GREAT WAR/ SEPTEMBER 20. 1917,/ AGED 19 YEARS./ NOT NOW, BUT IN THE COMING YEARS/ IT MAY BE IN THE BETTER LAND/ WE'LL READ THE MEANING OF OUR TEARS/ AND THEN PERHAPS WE'LL UNDERSTAND. North kerb: ALSO OUR BELOVED SON ARTHUR, AT REST JAN. 10. 1945, AGED 39 YEARS.
