Description
An addition to white marble kerbstones on a family grave. The grave bears a headstone in the form of a scroll unfurled over a wall which also bears sprays of foliage. The headstone surmounts a two-stepped base bearing and is accompanied by white marble kerbs. The inlaid inscriptions are in upright capital block lettering borne on the scroll, the faces of the base and on stopped chamfers on the inner faces of the kerbs.

Headstone: In/ Loving Memory of/ ARTHUR GEORGE BAMFORD,/ OF MILTON,/ BORN DEC. 28TH. 1838,/ AT REST MAY 16TH. 1925./ ALSO OF HENRY,/ BELOVED HUSBAND OF/ ANNIE BAMFORD/ & FATHER OF THE ABOVE/ WHO PASSED AWAY/ MARCH 2ND. 1931,/ IN HIS 79TH. YEAR./ ALSO OF/ ANNIE BAMFORD,/ AT REST SEPT. 7TH. 1938/ AGED 86 YEARS./ "UNTIL THE DAY BREAK,/ AND THE SHADOWS FLEE/ AWAY. Top step of base: ALSO OF LUCY, DAUGHTER OF/ HENRY & ANNIE BAMFORD,/ WHO PASSED AWAY MARCH 1ST. 1944/ AGED 53 YEARS. Bottom step of base: PEACE, PERFECT PEACE.
