- Description
- An oak board composed of three panels . The central panel is approximately rectangular and slightly indented on the top corners ,the vertical axis longer . At the top the school crest and motto raised and in full colour with the Royal Coat of Arms without mantling or supporters , at top the Initials E R either side of the Royal Crown , the date 1551 either side of the shield and below that the motto and then the dedication .On each side a further panel approximately rectangular with the names in two columns , WW1 on the left panel and WW2 on the right . The commemoration and names are incised and darkened .

- School Magazine issue January 1952 describes the unveiling of the memorial on 21st July 1951 by Field marshal The Lord Wilson of Libya and dedicated by The Right Rev S F Allison Bishop of Chelmsford . An image of the relevant pages of the magazine is attached .
