To the Glory of God/ and in loving memory of/ Charles Oswald Carey-Thomas/ (Second son of C. Carey-Thomas, Penarth.)/ 1st Battalion Imperial Yeomanry/ killed in action at Woodman's Spruit/ near Picksburg, Orange River Colony/ April 20th 1902 in the 24th year of his age./ He gave his life for his country/ R.I.P.
