- THE STAIRCASE WAS ERECTED AND THE NORTH TRANSEPT PAVED IN AD1942 IN MEMORY OF FREDERICK WILLIAM ROBERTSON OBE, MD, FOR 21 YEARS BELOVED PHYSICIAN AND FRIEND OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS PARISH AND OF HIS DAUGHTER, ETHEL HOPE BAGNALL, WHO WAS KILLED IN AN AIR RAID AD1941.
