Description
A wooden battlefield cross , the ends of the cross member and upright cut into lozenge shapes. At the top of the upright is a GRU tag , the dedication is painted black and extends over the cross member and the upper part of the upright . The cross is displayed on a wall together with an explanatory label

Cross /GRU/RIP/KILLED IN ACTION/230085/SGT PRICE TV/ 10TH K S L I /29-7-18/ Explanatory leaflet/Original wooden cross /from the grave of Sgt Thomas Valentine Price/10th (Shropshire and Cheshire Yeomanry) Bn/King's (Shropshire Light Infantry) from St Venant /cemetery ./Sgt Price was killed in action on 29th July 1918/After the war these temporary crosses were replaced /by carved headstones incorporating the regimental /badge and a personal inscription chosen by the next /of kin/gift Mrs G M Jones./SHYYM 1232/
