Marble tablet with a single line gold border, moulded red marble edging, is set on a black marble base. There is a gold latin cross at the top and the lettering is in black.

TO THE DEAR MEMORY OF/ ARTHUR FOWLER NEWSAM/ CAPt 9th Coy IMPERIAL CAMEL CORPS/ WHO HAVING GALLANTLY LED/ HIS COMPANY TO VICTORY/ FELL MORTALLY WOUNDED AT/ AMMAN IN THE MOUNTAINS OF/ MOAB 30th MARCH 1918 AGED 34/ MENTIONED IN DESPATCHES FOR/ "GALLANT AND DISTINGUISHED/ SERVICE IN THE FIELD"/ ALSO/ OF HIS BELOVED FATHER/ JOHN FOWLER NEWSAM/ WHO JOINED HIS MUCH LOVED/ SON 1st MAY 1918 AGED 65/ "Make them to be numbered with/ Thy Saints in Glory Everlasting"
