Description

Memorial garden with a flagstone path leading to a brick wall. The wall is comprised of five sections: two straight outer wing walls and three curving inner walls. All tablets are inset within the brick and the inscriptions are incised. The upper tablet within the centre wall is carved with a wreath in relief. The centre wall is surmounted by a stone ball and metal cross. The entire length of the wall is finished with a stepped capping stone. The wall remains the same but the garden has been re-landscaped and a sculpture added.Re-dedicated on 22nd September 2014.

History

2011, February: Royal British Legion (Tonbridge) are working with the local Council to renovate the site. 2010, 12 May: an appeal for £100,000 for refurbishment was launched, later amended to £250,000.
