THE FOLLOWING IS A TRANSCRIPT OF THREE WAR/ MEMORIAL TABLETS WHICH WERE AFFIXED TO THE/ WALLS OF THE OLD CHURCH AND SUNDAY SCHOOL/ BUILDINGS WHICH FORMERLY STOOD ON THE SITE OF/ THE PRESENT CHURCH. IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE FOLLOWING SCHOLARS/ OF THIS SUNDAY SCHOOL WHO LOST THEIR LIVES/ DURING THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919/ (Names)/ TO MEMORY EVER DEAR. A TABLET WAS ALSO ERECTED TO THE HONOURED/ MEMORY OF THE FOLLOWING MEN OF THIS/ CHURCH WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES DURING/ THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919./ (Names) IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF/ (Names)/ WHO DIED IN THE COURSE OF FREEDOM/ 1939-1945/ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS.
