Description
A memorial tablet of oak handsomely carved, with triangular pediment and a pillar either side. A large brass centre panel carries the dedication and names of the 37 former pupils who died in the Great War.

"To the honour of the Old Boys of this/ School and the Newchurch Grammar/ School who died for their country in/ the Great War 1914-1918"/ Roll of Honour/ (35 original names later amended to read 37)/ Dulce et decorum est Pro Patria mori"
