- Brass plaque with engraved arch and columns. A fleur de lys (Boy Scout badge) in middle of second line of inscription.

- "BE PREPARED"// IN LOVING AND HONOURED / MEMORY / OF MEMBERS OF THE 1st HYTHE TROOP B.P. / BOY SCOUTS, WHO MADE THE SUPREME / SACRIFICE FOR GOD, KING & COUNTRY IN THE / GREAT WAR. 1914-1918. // AND IN THE 2nd WORLD WAR 1939-1945. // (Names) // WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE 1914 - 1918 WAR. / These were His servants, in His steps they trod / Following thro' death the Martyred Son of God. / Victor He rose. Victorious too shall rise / They who have drunk His cup of Sacrifice. // THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY THEIR SORROWING / COMRADES AND TROOP PATRONS. JULY 1919.
