617 SQUADRON/ ROLL OF HONOUR/ AIRCREW OF 617 SQUADRON WHO/ LOST THEIR LIVES WHILST FLYING ON/ OPERATIONS DURING WORLD WAR II/ RAF SCAMPTON/ (Names)/ RAF CONINGSBY/ (Names)/ RAF WOODHALL SPA/ (Names)/ ELSEWHERE/ (Names)/ DURING WORLD WAR II, 617 SQUADRON CARRIED OUT 1,478 SORTIES/ DURING 100 BOMBING RAIDS, THEY LOST 32 LANCASTERS DURING/ THESE ATTACKS. THE SQUADRONS MOSQUITO AIRCRAFT CARRIED/ OUT 75 SORTIES WITH NO LOSS./ 12 LANCASTERS AND ONE MOSQUITO WERE LOST IN ACCIDENTS.
