Description
Originally a square sandstone pillar with a single oblong black marble tablet on the 6 o'clock face. Subsequently a square dwarf wall was built around it and infilled with stone chippings to create a base. Later the surrounding area was built up and paved to create a stepped platform around it. Further black marble tablets were then added to the 9 and 3 o'clock faces bearing the names. The inscription and names are in mixed styles of gilded incised lettering.
