  • A Roll of Honour to accompany this memorial was published in 2012. This agglomerates the names on the various existing memorials, and adds new names previously omitted from them, as well as correcting various historical errors. This took seven years of research by Joe Ritson (a local historian), with new names still being found. It spans the era from the Boer War to the Korean War- the most recent known casualties of war in Cleator and Cleator Moor. It is available at the Town Council Offices, and at each of the four Churches in Cleator/Cleator Moor, plus the Town Council website, also Whitehaven Record Office.

This record comprises all information held by IWM’s War Memorials Register for this memorial. Where we hold a names list for the memorial, this information will be displayed on the memorial record. Please check back as we are adding more names to the database.
