  • The Times 3 Oct. 1956 The Board Room was used as FM Montgomery's office for the planning of the invasion of Normandy, and in the room also hang portraits of the Duke of Marlborough and FM Montgomery. A framed calligraphic inscription records the historic events which took place in the room.
