- History
- The original Brixton Police Station was built in 1868, on the corner of Gresham Road and Brixton Road. In 1959 that premises was supplanted by the current building, which stands on the same site. As far as IWM is aware, the memorial that is now hanging in the current Brixton Police Station was originally erected in the former building, and was moved across to the present premises when that opened.
