Description
Hand painted Roll of Honour in watercolour and ink, with dedicatory inscription and names at centre. The names are flanked by illustrated doric columns. At each side of the columns stands a hlmeted Tommy resting on arms reversed. Above the inscription is an illustration of the Menin Gate with sun beams behind. To the left of the gate the Menin Road is shown leading into the distance and to the right of the gate the Arras Road is depicted. Below the Names and inscription is a scene of Railway Wood, Ypres 1917, showing soldiers crouched behind sand bags looking out to No Man's Land.
