- A steel candle stand with space for twenty votive candles in three tiers at the top and a copper plaque on a rustic carved backboard on the base. The plaque has the Polish eagle badge at the head and the inscription is incised in upright capital block lettering coloured white.

- 1947 1987/ IN MEMORY OF POLISH SERVICEMEN, WHO IN THE WORLD WAR II/ FIGHTING ON LAND, SEA AND IN THE AIR FOR OUR FREEDOM AND YOURS,/ GAVE THEIR SOULS TO GOD, THEIR HEARTS TO POLAND AND THEIR BODIES TO:/ FRANCE, GREAT BRITAIN, NORWAY, NORTH AFRICA, ITALY, HOLLAND AND BELGIUM,/ THIS CANDLESTAND WAS PRESENTED TO THE CATHEDRAL OF THE CITY OF DERBY/ BY THE LOCAL BRANCHES OF THE POLISH COMBATANTS,/ CARPATHIAN LANCERS AND POLISH AIR FORCE ASSN/ ON THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR SETTLING IN DERBY./ ALSO ON THE 35TH ANNIVERSARY OF DOM POLSKI./ THIS PLAQUE WAS UNVEILED ON 12TH JULY 1987/ BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE POLISH AIR FORCE ASSN IN GREAT BRITAIN/ AIR VICE-MARSHALL A.
