- Description
- At the base a rectangular grey stone tablet on a low plinth , bearing the incised dedication . Surmounting the tablet a high relief trophy of arms in white stone with fallen soldiers , a cannon with a broken wheel , furled standards and a standing soldier with head bowed , all the soldiers in highland dress . The trophy of arms has on each side a circular column and at the top a canopy of three convex curved arches .
