  • A Century of British Brewers plus plus 1890-2012 by Norman Barber, Mike Brown and Ken Smith p.45 Published:Longfield Brewery History Society 2012 Longfield, Kent William Hancock & Co Ltd was acquired by Bass Charrington Ltd in 1968, and traded as Welsh Brewers and later Bass Wales. The site was sold in 1999 to S A Brain & Co Ltd, who still brew there.
