Tablet with swan pediment with draped flag and laurel leaves. Pillasters and shelf supported by two corbels. Below is a sword with a belt and horse guards helmet.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND TO THE BELOVED MEMORY OF/ LIEUTENANT GEORGE VYVYAN NAYLOR-LEYLAND/ ROYAL HORSE GUARDS,/ OF BRYNYFFYNON PARK, YOUNGER SON OF THE LATE/ CAPTAIN SIR HERBERT NAYLOR-LEYLAND, BART. M.P./ 2nd LIFE GUARDS,/ AND LADY NAYLOR-LEYLAND OF NANTCLWYD HALL,/ WHO DIED OF WOUNDS RECEIVED IN ACTION IN FRANCE 21st SEPTEMBER 1914,/ AGED 22./ MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES FOR GALLANT AND DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT IN THE FIELD./ "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS"./ "HE WAS THE BRAVEST OF OFFICERS, HIS MEN WERE DEVOTED TO HIM/ AS HE ALWAYS SET THEM SUCH A GOOD EXAMPLE OF PLUCK AND COURAGE/ AND HE DIED DOING HIS DUTY AS AN ENGLISH GENTLEMAN, I HAVE INDEED/ LOST A DEAR FRIEND AND A SUBALTERN OF WHOM I WAS JUSTLY PROUD"/ EXTRACT FROM HIS COLONEL'S LETTER./ ERECTED TO HIM WHO WAS CROWNED WITH THE LOVE THAT WHICH NO MAN HATH GREATER BY HIS MOTHER AND BROTHER.
