  • Hamilton Advertiser - 16 November 1957 - 'Uddingston's War Memorial Unveiled and Dedicated'
  • No Interest in Memorial for Uddingston - On Monday night a public meeting was held in the Grammar School, Uddingston, to consider whether a memorial to those who fell in the Great War should not be erected even yet. Sir Thomas Wilson presided, and expressed the opinion that something should yet be done. The attendance was extremely poor, and it was decided to adjourn without coming to any decision. [Motherwell Times 25 January 1924]
