- Gothic gravestone with inscription in black lettering and rope twist decoration with flower motif at the top. It stands on chamfered base in a multiple grave space surrounded by kerbstones and concrete covering.

- IN LOVING MEMORY OF/ LANCE CORPORAL/ CECIL SUMNER,/ No: 201273/ OF THE 1/4th LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT/ AND THIRD SON OF/ CHARLES & EMMA SUMNER OF DIGBY/ WHO DIED FROM WOUNDS/ RECEIVED BY BOMB FROM AN ENEMY AEROPLANE/ OCT. 22nd 1917/ WHILST ON DUTY IN FRANCE/ AGED 21 YEARS/ INTERRED IN MILITARY CEMETERY AT BETHUNE/ A FAITHFUL AND PURE LIFE, LAID DOWN FOR HIS FRIENDS/ HE DID WHAT HE COULD/ ALSO FRANK POTTERTON SUMNER/ No: M/316489 OF THE A.S.C.
