- White granite faced wall, facing the Cenotaph. Short, rounded return walls provide a protected space. Darker blue granite panel with inscription in gold lettering. Single step up to concrete slab base with two steps to facilitate choir at the base of the wall. The loft is flanked by guard railings. Round bronze plaque is at the east side of the north pier entrance to the cenotaph area. Also round bronze plaque in the middle of the top step of the memorial

Cease Separate Round Plaque in the centre of the top step: This memorial is dedicated to those/ who struggle for freedom in all conflicts,/ and those who remember them./ It is sacred to all non-combatants who lay down their lives./ Those who are forever still; we remember you./ Violence is not the only strength/ Around edge of the plaque: The 'Choir Loft 2008. Designed by Artist Ruth Barker and Commissioned by Blackpool Borough Council. Funded by Blackpool Council, Blackpool Challenge Partnership, and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

- History
- 2008: Major restoration project completed. Including the addition of a further memorial to civilian casualties in matching white Granite and Bronze within the garden setting on the promenade. In addition, a permanent projection and illumination project has been installed. This initiative uses still photography and moving images which are projected onto the upper 70ft of the memorial with a changing programme each year. We await further details about the additions and civilian memorial.
