A pedestal has a cornice at the top and hollowed faces, each bearing a cast metal lion face. A rough hewn plinth has a chamfered top and polished arrises and a square ashlar base has bevelled upper edges. Four additional small plinths, one at each corner, bear stacks of cannon balls.
