Description
Large wooden board with a decorative curved top. Below is a backboard with carved dentil moulding; on that backboard, three raised panels bear the names in black lettering of those from the three Divisions who served in the Armed Forces. (Many of those named on this Divisional Memorial were also commemorated on the Brighton Borough Police WW1/WW2 Memorial - see our reference 58754).

On 1/1/1968 Brighton Borough Police Force was amalgamated into the newly-formed Sussex Police. The memorial was subsequently moved to storage in the basement of the new Police Station in John Street, from which it was moved to the Old Police Cells Museum in June 2005.
