- The Scotsman 3/10/1921- KIRKMABRECK:— A handsome granite memorial, which has been erected in Creetown for those belonging to the parish of Kirkmabreck who fell in the war was unveiled on Saturday by Colonel Rainsford Hannay, of Kirkdale. Three hundred and forty-two served in the war area overseas from the parish, of which fifty-eight were killed.
