- Plaque, beside well: Stone Pyramid. "Richard's Well" was fed by a spring that led into it and is marked by a stone pyramid. According to legend, Richard III drank from one of the several springs in the region on the day of the Battle of Bosworth. Most of the marsh area of 1485 is now covered by Ambion Wood. The Battle of Bosworth Field took place on 22 August 1485. Richard III was killed in the battle.
