Access is from the car park at the foot of the Lowran burn. Walk along the often wet and boggy road north towards New Galloway for about 270 metres
then turn very sharp left up an obvious track - follow this for about 400 metres to the memorial.

- Description
- Stone cross with a shaft, set on a plinth and base. It is made of rough hewn stone with two tablets on the front face with the dedication and quotation. It is set on a forested slope. The whole surmounts a stone cairn.
