Description
Reredos comprising a plain white rectangular marble tablet set within a carved brown mottled alabaster frame. Tablet inscription is in mainly upright capital roman lettering coloured black. Frame comprises an outer frieze at the top and sides and a moulded inverted cornice at the bottom; the frieze contains carved bosses of foliage and a cross at top centre; the cornice inscription is in upright capital roman lettering in a cavo relievo panel on the front face. At each side, within the frieze, are armorial shields contained within traceried niches with steeply pitched pediments. An inner border has rectilinear features with open bosses, and a laurel wreath at each top corner.
