Description
Curved stone block wall with five polished stone plaques inset. This partially surrounds an octagonal stone plinth which has an inset plaque with the inscription. The whole is set on a brick paved area. On the ends of the wall are two grey stone faces with engravings of the badges of the Army and Air Force on the right, and the Merchant Navy and Royal Navy on the left. Covers the North Lewis communities of South Dell, North Dell, Cross, Swainbost, Cross, Skigersta Road, Habost, Skigersta, Adabrock, Eorodale, Lionel, Port of Ness, Knockaird, Fivepenny & Eoropie
