- Description
- Peace Memorial Window. In the middle light, Christ in His crown of thorns is with a soldier in the Somme Valley; the rest of the glass symbolises the righteous hopes of man and his struggle to be free. A Kaffir, a priest, a Free Church minister, a girl with arms full of flowers, and a statesman holding the Covenant of the League (of Nations) are grouped on one side; on the other is a boy and girl symbolising higher education for the poor and a woman with her arms free from chains.
