Description
Obelisk on a square base. The original memorial had a kilted soldier on top but there was a lot of controversy and some people refused to allow their sons' names on the memorial. The statue was removed and remodelled with the pillar on top, and the memorial was later relocated in the mid 1970's when the town hall was demolished.
