- Description
- Pedestal surmounted by square shaft and a small cross. It is enclosed by four sections of crenellated style stone wall. Each has a bronze plaque containing the WW1 names on the crenellated top. WW2 names are on a bronze plaque placed below WW2 dedicatory inscription. Under the cross are four shields, set one on each face, showing a saltire, a thistle, the town arms and St George. Sculpture of St. George is carved in relief above the WW1 dedicatory inscription on 6 o'clock face. Sculpture of St Droston is carved in relief above the WW2 inscription on the 12 o'clock face. .
