Description

Single-stepped circular base surmounted by a circular sectioned pillar, slightly tapering towards top. Shallow-domed upper face. Inscription on a portrait orientated metal plaque, inset into side of pillar. This monument is the original and is located on the site of the battle on MOD land, and is not generally accessible to the public. A replica monumnet has been installed on the side of B4086 Banbury Road and is recorded as WMR 19344.
