- Fine wrought iron gates at entrance to the chapel with dedicatory white stone tablet. Badge of the regiment is at the top of tablet and badge of regiment is on each gate.

- THE 7TH BATTALION - THE ROYAL SUSSEX REGT./ TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF ALL/ THOSE WHO DIED IN MAKING A GALLANT STAND/ AGAINST ADVANCING ENEMY IN FRANCE IN MAY/ 1940 AND IN HONOUR OF ALL RANKS WHO SERVED IN THE BATTALION (MANY OF WHOM WORSHIPPED IN/ THIS CHURCH) BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1939 & MAY 1940/ THESE CHAPEL GATES ARE DEDICATED.
