Description
Two wall-mounted stone memorials commemorating the First and Second World Wars are mounted one above the other. The First World War memorial is a trapezoid tablet, tapering from the base up. The Second World War memorial is a rectangular stone tablet attached to the base of the first. The memorial is ornamented with the Royal Coat of Arms of George V.

TO THE / GLORY OF GOD / AND IN / MEMORY OF THE FALLEN/ THEY, WHOM THIS TABLET COMMEMORATES WERE/ AMONG THOSE WHO, AT THE CALL OF KING AND/ COUNTRY, LEFT ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM,/ ENDURED HARDNESS, FACED DANGER AND FINALLY/ PASSED OUT OF THE SIGHT OF MEN BY THE PATH/ OF DUTY AND SELF-SACRIFICE, GIVING UP THEIR/ OWN LIVES THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM/ (NAMES)/ 1914-1918/ IN THIS PARISH OUT OF A TOTAL POPULATION OF 381/PERSONS, THE NUMBER OF MEN WHO SERVED IN HIS/ MAJESTY'S FORCES DURING THE GREAT WAR WAS 81 THIS FURTHER MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED TO/ THE MEN WHO FELL IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR (NAMES)/1939-1945/ THE POPULATION OF THIS PARISH AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR WAS 400 OF WHOM/ 59 SERVED IN HM FORCES BESIDES THOSE WHO SERVED/ IN THE HOME GUARD AND CIVIL DEFENCE
