- Description
- Addition to the gravestone of Gerard K Webber (brother of the first named, of the 10th Royal Fusiliers, who is buried here) in the form of a large highly decorative cross contained within circular top of stone, Celtic style decoration between arms of cross. Sides descend from circle and widen slightly. Headstone stands on chamfered base stone, with black lettering to both head and base stone although much lettering missing from base section.

WEBBER/ New Zealand Mounted Rifles,/ killed in action at Beuchep's Hill, Gallipoli,/ August 6th 1916, aged 27,/ and buried where he fell,/ beloved second son of/ EMILY and ALFRED WEBBER/ of Auckland, New Zealand./ GERALD K WEBBER/ 10th Royal Fusiliers,/ died in Manchester/ February 2nd 1917, Aged 27,/ of wounds received in action/ before Beaucourt-sur-Ancre/ France, November 14th 1916,/ beloved third son of/ EMILY and ALFRED WEBBER/ of Auckland, New Zealand./Also in Memory/of a splendid Friend and Comrade/ ALAN HAMILTON ROSS/ Royal Fusiliers/killed in action in France, July 15th 1916.
