Description
A sandstone monument comprising a tapered octagonal stone pillar with a carved interwoven decoration on the 6 o'clock face, supporting a four-sided lantern with a carved angel or saint in a niche on each face, and surmounted by a decorated Latin cross. The pillar is on an octagonal pedestal, with incised lettering on some faces, on a moulded plinth and octagonal ashlar base. The whole is set in a paved area within a fenced garden laid to lawn with trees.

History
10 October 2011: The inscriptions and names were becoming eroded and obscured by lichen. Some chips and cracks were present on the plinth moulding. Some repointing had been carried out, especially on the pillar. 19 July 1985: The memorial was listed Grade II, Heritage List for England reference 1204872.
