Description
A rectangular, landscape-oriented brass plaque mounted on a wooden backboard. The dedication is enclosed by a single-line border, coloured red and with the corners indented. The letters in the dedication are incised and coloured black, with the exception of the main initial letters, which are coloured red.

In loving memory of/ LCE CPL BERNARD ALFRED HOBBS/ 3rd Dorset Regt who died at Amara, Mesopotamia, on/ Novr 19th 1916 Aged 23./ also of his Brother/ PTE WILLIAM ERNEST HOBBS/ 3rd Dorset Regt who died at Amara on Novr 28th 1916 Aged 25/ both whilst in the service of their King and Country./ "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
