Description
Horizontally wall mounted brass plaque. Slim black line parallel to outside edges, thicker black and gold line farther toward centre with red and black decoration between lines. Engraving of a wheeled cannon to top left corner of centre field. Inscribed inscription, mostly infilled in black with certain letters in red, to top right and entire bottom width below cannon.

To the lasting remembrance of / Captain Cortland Gordon Mackenzie / Royal Artillery of Foxton Grange / who died in the service of his Country / on the 24th of January 1900 at De Aar South Africa / The inhabitants of Foxton have dedicated this tablet / as a mark of their sincere affection and esteem /Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.
