Description
A plain sandstone Latin cross on square sandstone pedestal and a three stepped base. There is a granite block attached to the bottom step bearing the Royal British Legion inscription and with a recess in the top, probably to hold flowers. A metal rail has been added around the base for the support of tributes.

Condition
History
2006: A metal support bar was added around the memorial to facilitate the laying of wreaths. It appears that the four faces of the plinth have been refaced with sandstone slabs. The memorial lies within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. 29 August 1968: The memorial lies within the Duffield Conservation Area designated on this date.
