- History
- 1987: Badly damaged in 1987 storm and then later so badly vandalized that Swale Council decided to demolish it. Also two of the metal plaques bearing the names were stolen. All nine plaques were placed on the raised bed surrounding the Sittingbourne WW1 & 2 cenotaph - WMA 16205. A replacement war memorial with new slate tablets was dedicated on 14th October 2012 - WMA 71495. The stone remains in the grounds of the church.
