Inscription
This Lighting was installed/ in 1948/ and the Electric Heating in 1957/ by Major & Mrs Bailie of Manderston/ as a memorial to their only son/ DOUGLAS MICHAEL HUGH BAILIE/ born 26th May 1922/ killed in action 30th Jan 1944/ and his grandmother/ AMY ELIZABETH BAILIE/ died 7th Feb 1942 - elder/ daughter of Sir William Miller/ 1st Baronet of Manderston.
