Wall mounted brass plaque on wooden backboard. Quatrefoils in each corner as part of a decorative border. Letters are incised capitals.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF/ PRIVATE JAMES BADLEY,/ 3RD LINCOLN BATALLION./ DIED AT WEYMOUTH MILITARY HOSPITAL,/ JULY 4TH 1917, AGED 22 YEARS./ "HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER THEE."/ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS FATHER AND MOTHER.
