Description
Illuminated roll of honour with floriated border consisting of roses, thistles and clover and featuring the national coats of arms of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The top border has the coat of arms of Bolton superimposed over the Union Flag and surrounded by a scroll bearing part of the inscription. The lower border features the flags of Italy, the USA, Belgium, France, Japan and the White Ensign of the UK. The roll of honour has a gilded border and is glazed within a dark wooden frame, which has fluted ionic pillasters and a flat-topped cornice.
