- BRONZE SHRINE WITH BOOKS OF REMEMBRANCE ORNATE SHRINE WITH PEDIMENTED TOP WHICH HAS AT ITS APEX THE TOWN COAT OF ARMS ABOVE A LAUREL WREATH CONTAINING A CROWN. A WHITE ENSIGN AND UNION FLAG FLANK THESE. BENEATH THIS IS THE WW1 INSCRIPTION. IN MAIN PART OF SHRINE, BEHIND GLASS DOOR, ARE THE BOOKS OF REMEMBRANCE TOPPED BY FLANDERS POPPIES. WW2 INSCRIPTION IS BENEATH THE BOOKS AT BOTTOM OF SHRINE. THERE IS A LIGHT ON WITHIN THE SHRINE.
