White stone tablet carved in the shape of an open scroll and mounted onto a triangular headed grey stone backboard. Raised lettering in black.

Inscription

AUXILIUM MEUM AB ALTO./ IN MEMORY OF/ LIEUT LESLIE ST LEDGER BLAKENEY,/ 2ND BATTN LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS,/ BORN APRIL 13TH 1890,/ KILLED MARCH 28TH 1915./ THROUGH THE TORPEDOING OF THE S.S. FALABA, BY A GERMAN SUBMARINE./ HE GREATLY DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF IN THE/ TAKING OF TOGOLAND, AND WAS/ HONOURABLY MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES, HE WAS A YOUNG SOLDIER OF GREAT/ PROMISE, DEEPLY LAMENTED BY A/ WIDE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS./ THIS MONUMENT WAS ERECTED BY HIS/ SORROWING FATHER AND MOTHER.
