- OBLONG SHAPED, PALE MARBLE TABLET WITH SEMICIRCULAR ARCH AT TOP WHICH CONTAINS DCLI BADGE. WHITE MARBLE BORDER IS ORNATELY DECORATED WITH PARTIALLY GOLD OAK LEAF MOTIF. FRAME IS LARGE, WIDE, GREEN MARBLE.

- INLOVING MEMORY OF/ JOHN REUBEN JAGO/ SERGEANT 1ST 4TH DCLI/ ONLY SON OF JOHN ALBERT AND/ ELIZABETH JAGO OF THIS PARISH/ WHO HAVING VOLUNTEERED FOR/ IMPERIAL SERVICE AT THE OUTBREAK/ OF WAR SERVED IN INDIA, ADEN,/ EGYPT & PALESTINE. HE WAS/ KILLED IN ACTION AT NEBY SAMWIL/ NOV. 22ND 1917 AND IS BURIED IN/ THE MILITARY CEMETERY AT/ JERUSALEM/ AGED 27/ IHAVE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH.
