- Description
- PLAIN RECTANGULAR BRASS PLAQUE SET WITHIN AN ORNATE FRAME. THE FRAME TAKES THE FORM OF A SHELF SURMOUNTED BY TWO COLUMNS WHICH SUPPORT A CORNICE AND SWAN NECKED PEDIMENT. A CARVED FIGURE OF A SOLDIER IS PLACED ON TOP OF THE CORNICE. HE STANDS WITH RIFLE OVER ONE SHOULDER AND THE OTHER ARM WITH HAT IN HAND RAISED IN SALUTE. COMMEMORATION AND NAMES (IN TWO COLUMNS) ARE ENGRAVED IN RED AND BLACK. RED LINE BORDER AROUND THE PLAQUE.
